๐Ÿ“Œ Important Note on COA Documents

Certificates of Analysis (COA) from BV Cocoa Products are lot-specific โ€” produced for each individual production batch being shipped. They reflect actual tested values for that specific lot, not generic or average specification ranges. Lot-specific COAs are issued with every sample shipment and bulk order. The specification data shown on product pages and in this document library represents indicative typical ranges for reference purposes only. Request a lot-specific COA by contacting our team through the Contact page.

Frequently Asked Questions

Technical Documents FAQ

Lot-specific COAs are issued for each production batch โ€” they are not available in advance of production since the tested values are specific to that lot. Indicative product specifications (typical parameter ranges) are available on each product page and on this technical documents page. When you place a sample request or bulk order, the lot-specific COA for your shipment is provided before or alongside the shipment. Contact us through the Contact page if you need to confirm expected specification ranges for your procurement evaluation.
Yes. MSDS documents can be requested in advance of placing an order โ€” for example, to complete a chemical registration or workplace risk assessment. Contact BV Cocoa Products through the Contact page specifying the product and grade, and our team will provide the relevant MSDS document.
Cadmium testing can be arranged on request for buyers importing into the EU, where EU Regulation 2023/915 sets maximum cadmium levels for cocoa and cocoa-derived products. Specify cadmium testing as a requirement when submitting your trade inquiry or sample request, and our team will confirm test availability and include results in the documentation for your lot.
Indicative nutritional composition data is included in the product specifications on each product page. Full nutritional analysis reports (per 100g, covering energy, protein, fat, carbohydrates, fibre, sodium, and micronutrients) can be arranged on request โ€” particularly useful for health food and consumer product buyers who need nutritional data for label declarations. Specify this requirement at the inquiry or sample request stage.
Common HS codes for BV Cocoa Products exports include: Cocoa beans (1801.00), Cocoa husk/shell (1802.00), Cocoa paste/liquor/mass (1803.10 not defatted), Cocoa butter (1804.00), Cocoa powder not containing added sugar (1805.00), Cocoa cake (1802.00). Buyers should confirm the applicable HS code for their destination with their customs broker โ€” HS code classification can affect applicable duty rates and documentation requirements. The HS code used is stated on the commercial invoice for each shipment.
